"The best facilities and extraordinary service"

Balcones del Atlantico has the best facilities for family travel and couples, the villas are beautiful and very spacious, with attention to detail in the decoration and what anyone with long stays might need. The atmosphere of the common and social areas are very well maintained. The staff is extraordinary, ready to satisfy your requests and make it a trip of pleasure and relaxation. Thanks to everyone for your attentions, we had a great time.

"Great Place and Wonderful People"

After getting lost and driving over 3 hours from Santo Domingo to Las Terrenas, I was glad to find the villa was "as advertised". The villa was clean, spacious and well equipped. The grounds are well kept and very secure. Security guards are visible everywhere complex 24 hours a day. The staff was very helpful in trying to help get us to stay up late in the evening. We speak a little Spanish, but they always had fluent English in the reception area if needed. Brenda and Waska were helpful and friendly. We had the continental breakfast in Porto as part of our package. Includes fresh fruit tray, a basket of bread and coffee. It does not look like much, but we enjoyed it every morning. We did not have dinners, but lunch reasonably priced and very good. Porto is on the beach so you have a beautiful view with every meal. We cook every night for dinner. We rented a car in Santo Domingo, so we went into town to go to the supermarkets (Supermercado Lindo and Pola supermarket). Prices were comparable to Maryland prices. Las Terrenas has many beautiful beaches that are within walking distance or by car. Because the surrounding beaches are open access beaches, there is a problem with garbage in some areas. However, the gardens of Balcones del Atlántico are impeccable. If I offered suggestions for improvement, it would be as follows: The air conditioning in advance upon arrival guests. Our room was hot with a musty smell that lasted several hours. Provide better kitchen utensils. The stove, oven and fridge worked well, but the kitchen accessories are very basic, (no grips, limited number of pots and pans and cooking utensils). Sounds like something small, but I stayed here specifically for the kitchen as I cooked it everyday. The electricity was out every day we were there, but it did not last more than 10 minutes each time.

"A wonderful place to go on vacation"

Balcones del Atlántico is a complex with apartments and house available for rent with all inclusive except meals. This place is beautiful, full of palm trees, water fountains, adult pools and kids, jacuzzi, and it works like a hotel. Just across a narrow road is the sand and the beautiful turquoise sea.

"Just enjoy the view"

Not a regular period or all-inclusive hotel. It is a people's place as a second home for weekends or holidays, well maintained, beautiful gardens fountains and pools, and you can go across the street and you will find the only restaurant, bar and beach. If you are looking for shows every night, 6 restaurants in the hotel and lots of activities, this is not the place. It is quiet, very private, and green. We had breakfast included, and found it to be better order by phone, what do you want to walk there before, is a good idea. We recommend you rent a car and drive and visit other places and tour. There are lots of good different restaurants in Las Terrenas (5 minutes by car). Go to Samana and visit the beach of Cayo raised. We have the most beautiful 40 minutes of experience watching the whales. (See the season Nov to March), horseback riding to the lemon waterfalls, we went after two great rainy days and they are beautiful. We went for a second honeymoon, and we had a penthouse with jacuzzi on the terrace. WOW. Watching the stars every night in our private paradise. The Dominicans are very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel special.
